About Trungram International Academy
Trungram International Academy (TIA) was established in 1995 by His Eminence Dr. Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche, founder of the United Trungram Buddhist Foundation (UTBF). Our aim is to create a boarding/day school within Nepal, offering academic standards comparable to the best institutions. TIA is registered with the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal, and offers classes from Nursery to Higher Secondary Level.
Our Origin
TIA is a part of UTBF, which was founded in 1992 with centers in Nepal, the U.S.A., Malaysia, Singapore, and Germany. UTBF is dedicated to the enlightenment and education of people worldwide, promoting principles of peace, non-violencе, social justice, and mutual understanding. Our Chief Patron is the founder, H.E. Dr. Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche. We are a private, co-educational, English medium, boarding, and day school located in Kathmandu Valley.
